On December 1, 2021, the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide construction spending up 0.1% to $1,598.0 billion in October of 2021 from $1,594.8 billion September of 2021, and rose 8.6% from $1,471.7 billion in October of 2020.
Nationwide private construction down 0.2% to $1,245.0 billion in October of 2021 from $1,247.9 billion in September of 2021.
Residential construction decreased 0.5% of $774.7 billion in October of 2021 from $778.6 billion September of 2021.
Non residential construction higher 0.2% to $470.3 billion in October of 2021 from $469.4 billion in September of 2021.
The public construction increased 1.8% to $353.0 billion in October of 2021 from $346.8 billion in September of 2021.
The educational construction grew 0.2% to $82.2 billion in October of 2021 from $82.0 billion in September of 2021.
The highway construction gained 2.4% to $102.5 billion in October of 2021 from $100.1 billion in September of 2021.
