The 2021 Spokane WA real estate market has been "hot and bothered " depending on what your goals were. Sellers seem to be in the drivers seat, however buyers agents are getting so creative that it has made a real difference in how offers are chosen.
Realtor.com has predicted that Spokane WA will be the third hottest real estate market in 2022! https://www.realtor.com/news/trends/competition-fierce-for-2022-top-10-housing-markets/ I had a record year in 2021, and I am ready for whatever 2022 has to bring.
I believe that regardless of the increase in value over the past year (24%) , due to the demand of people relocating to the Spokane area, we will remain a very stable market. Buyers are smart to take advantage of the still historically low interest rates, especially as rents rise, purchasing a home may well be a far better option than renting for so many reasons (tax benefits, equity opportunity, the pride of home ownership, being able to make improvements, potential for renting part of /all of your home, ect... )
