The Sun Setting on 2021

Real Estate Agent with Big Block Realty 858.232.8722 CA BRE# 01261476

The sun is setting on 2021. It was a very good year despite it being a tough year.

I do empathize with those that lost jobs, my bride lost hers too.

I empathize with those that had/have COVID, we had friends and acquaintances pass away from it and both my bride and I had it in January 2020 too.

I will not say it was a "crazy year" as the news does; it was a busy and blessed year.

I will not say it was a bad year as I hear so many say in conversations, I didn't participate in the pandemic in 2021, it was over for me the day I got my second vaccination. I changed my mindset that day and stayed positive, focused, used common sense, respected other's wishes (store owners and airlines, etc.) and stayed growth-oriented and busy-busy at work.

I do not "wish for a better 2022", rather I'll dive head first into the New Year with my flexible plan with uncompromising goals and make it the best year I can.

2021 was a fantastic year. Why? Because I chose to make it one. I did not take the bait on all the nonsense, the news or the social media mine fields.

I hope we can move forward and united as a country in 2022, I wish you and yours all the best in health, happiness and the opportunities for success.

Life is truly what we make of it, whether it's sunny or pouring rain. The fact I always remind myself of, is that even when the clouds are dark and the rain is fierce, up above the storm, the sun is still shining out of sight...

and thank God I have a wonderful view of it from our balcony!

It's a Good Life!

I was taught to think of it as a "good" life because shit happens;

so it's not always great, but it can be quite often good!

Happy New Year!

I appreciate your attitude.  We were delightfully busy.  We paid no attentions to woes and bad news, and we don't watch TV.  Wishing you all the best.  A

I appreciate your attitude - and we did not participate in the pandemic either. We're fortunate to live in a community where very few did.

My 2021 was a tough year for a host of other reasons, so I will be very glad to see the sun set on it. I'm trusting that 2022 will be much better - a year with only the normal ups and downs.

Happy New Year!

I share your attitude, and have refused to let COVID control my life.  I am careful, but not obsessed with this disease!!!

Good afternoon Thomas - nor did I participate in the pandemic  in 2021.  I have many things to be thankful for in 2021 and I am ready to hit 2022 with goals.

Hi Thomas- what a wonderful attitude. Larry and I did not allow the virus to rule our lives either. We took precautions when necessary and otherwise when about our lives. We closed our ears to mainstream news and used our common sense and our own research instead.

Hello Thomas - first, wonderful photos and second, they reinforce the words you describe these end of year thoughts quite well.  Thirdly, Charles Dickens may have famously given us "the best of times and the worst of times" but you sum up the year (and perhaps these times) with a perspective which ties it together in a way that works best for you.  Nicely done.

Very nice Thomas! I too am a sucker for gorgeous sunsets. The sun sets behind the homes across the street from me. They sit a little higher and have tall trees so I don't get a full view. I recently made a mental note to check for the sunset on the next house we buy. I always make sure there's good natural light be not that we can see the sunset. Happy New Year!
