"Don't Look Up" - A Entertaining Flick

By
Real Estate Agent

After a busy morning, I was looking for something entertaining this afternoon.  For those of you who have Netflix, you might enjoy viewing the flick, "Don't Look Up."

The description states the following: "Two astronomers go on a media tour to warn humankind of a planet-killing comet hurtling toward Earth.  The response from a distracted world: Meh."

It's satire, but its realistic overtones align and point out problems with present day politicization of major problems, to our detriment!

The cast features: Leonard DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep and others.

Hi Myrl... sadly I don't have Netflix... and I've learned that I actually don't have that much patience to watch movies at home. I'm happy to take a break and go see a movie in a theatre, but just can't get into it at home.

Scary how much it feels like it resembles reality right now.

Hi Myrl:

I hadn't heard of this movie until I saw your post - but then I don't pay much attention to movies. We do have Netflix so I'll have to check this out!

Enjoy your weekend!

Myrl Jeffcoat - I got to see the movie. I loved it! You're right about it being satire and entertaining. Leonardo DiCaprio turned out to be fine Hot Mess and Jennifer's acting was superb. I absolutely loved the final ending and never laughed so hard in a very long time. Thanks for the recommendation and I'm glad I saw the movie!

I think Timothee Chalamet has a very promising future! What happened at the dinner table was really needed then and now!

Hi Myrl Jeffcoat - I have heard of this movie on Netflix. It is nice to see that you enjoyed it.  I liked "Meh".  Sounds like something Larry David would say! LOL!

It's actually scary how the movie resembles reality right now. But hey -- it's not yet too late. While the movie has satirical overtones all over, the message is so clear and we can't just ignore it.

DiCaprio's acting is on point as always, though.
