Tuesday's Treasures ~ A New Holiday Tradition Evolves

Good morning Dorie. A great tradition. Question! Did you and mom have more fun watching or did Beautiful Beckett have more fun shopping? Was it a draw? Enjoy your day.

I can totally relate, Dorie. Our granddaughter, Victoria, was exactly the same by the time she was five years old. It was an experience to go shopping with her... and she wanted to pick out her clothes and mine as well!

Hi Dorie - It is amazing watching little girls grow up.  I remember being fascinated with my daughter when she was just a year or two older and the way she looked through clothes.  She would also take her older sister's clothes without asking, an opportunity Beckett won't have.  That was the biggest fights the girls ever had.

Hello Dorie - sometimes cash is king (or other perhaps another member of royalty) and then there are times when those dollars may need some accessories (like Nana and Mommy) to make a shopping trip into a special occasion.  

What a lovely and fun new tradition Dorie!  I love it!  So good to hear that Beckett loves to chose her own clothes/fabrics and manage her finances to boot! I have a niece that was so like this when she was a little girl and she became a model in her late teens/twenties and a true role model like Beckett!  I can see Beckett giving a school presentation on 'how to' shop for clothes and manage your money!!

Dorie it looks like Beckett and my granddaughter Elizabeth have one more thing in  common, the are both fashionistas.

Your mention of her wanting to touch and feel the fabric made me laugh since I like to do that myself, although I don't often even shop for clothing, haha.

Any tradition with a big heart and lots of fun involved, I'd fully support without question! He's to a better  and happy 2022

Dorie Dillard Austin TX - what a fun idea! As the word gets out to your granddaughter's friends, soon the malls will be filled with Grandmas and Granddaughters shopping for their little darlings after Christmas. How wonderful!

Sounds like a fun tradition, Dorie. And you get to be involved. It's interesting how some kids really get interested in clothes and different styles at an early age. Guess she won't be doing much online ordering if touching is important.

Oh my goodness, Beautiful Beckett is a girl after my own heart, Dorie! 

I love this new tradition and vividly remember doing this with my grandmother every year for back-to-school clothes. This is something that both you and Beckett will remember for the rest of your lives - and your hearts will always smile at the memories!
