Hi Hannah:

Good for people to be aware of in your area. There is a lot of variation in what is allowed or required in our area, and throughout California.

Right outside of Philly in the suburbs Jeff Dowler, CRS  there are no restrictions to dine indoors as of yet

Hello Hannah - although some people may forget it, kindness is always on the menu.  Not only does a server offer it, but the one dining can share it as well.  It seems only proper to me.

As stated here restaurants are happy to cooperate, but a few would rather close their doors permanently. It is just a step of safety with a smile . The new normal

I don't like the sound of all these restrictions coming back and I hope that they don't make their way to Arizona, haha.

Brian England I don't think anyone likes it, but safety first. We are alittle more congested here than you are I think.

Good morning Hannah. Here in Chicago, if you are 5 or older, you must present confirmation of vaccination to enter a dining establishment. Yet confirmation of vaccination is not enough for our teachers to teach on person. And we want to know why we trail the world in education? We don't have capable teachers. Enjoy your day.

I believe that will be the same here also Wayne Martin  I am not sure about the schools . I did read where a teacher recently died from Covid and a student also died from a school where I went to High School .

Have a wonderful Day - will I see you at our Zoom?

Good morning, Hannah... thank heavens this is not something we are dealing with here in the Charlotte area. I can tell you that if we were I'd stop eating out until those requirements went away. My family in Russia to this day goes nowhere locally without all their identifying "papers" and passports. This kind of regulation smacks of totalitarianism to me.

I can understand your fear Nina Hollander, Broker but this a health crisis and not to be taken lightly . It is not quite the same, but I do understand why you would feel that way ,especially having family that had to wear a star on their arms in Nazi Germany.

Hannah, we are seeing a huge surge of new COVID cases around here too, so bet we will have some changes in indoor dining also.

Joan Cox  I just hope we do not close again and the idea of only having to show proof of vaccination to me is a much better choice than closing the entire city.

It's too bad that some local businesses need to close their doors because of what's going on. Nice description on what's going on in your Philadelphia indoor dining!

From what I understood Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400  it was by choice that they were closing not by necessity although I do think some have closed because they could not get reliable help

Hannah I am in agreement with Brian England and Nina Hollander, Broker these regulations have nothing to do with safety or science.  Being vaccinated does not keep you from getting the virus or spreading it to someone else.  There are numerous reports of this, and just this past week one of my best friends, who is vaccinated and also has gotten his booster shot, came down with COVID.  The shots simply help to reduce the impact of the virus, they do not keep us from getting it or spreading it.

George Souto I don't know one of my best friends is not vaccinated It has not stopped our friendship and he writes science fiction novels and his theories are very interesting . He is in the middle of writing one now and I will not disclose his name

Do you think people should not get vaccinated ? I am a little confused

Hi Hannah- I hope that restaurants don't have to shut down. And I agree with George Souto And since it's hard to get tested for Covid, how do they expect people to comply? Today, Geraldo Rivera on the Five on Fox had to "eat crow" (His words) because even though he's vaccinated, he got Covid. Took him two days to get a test.

Kathy Streib It is becoming scary once again. I do not begin to know the answers . Are people becoming infected from the unvaccinated or are we doomed.  But seriously, I do not think they will close again, I certainly hope not. The schools did go remote as teachers were getting sick and a few died from COVID as George said they were fully vaccinated

Hannah for some reason I am not able to comment above, so I will respond here.  Both my wife and I are fully vaccinated and have also gotten the booster shot.  I do not have any issue with vaccines, what I do have a BIG issue with is someone feeling they have the right to mandate someone else to inject something into their body that they do not want to.

I keep on hearing how masks protect you, and that a certain distance protects you, but I have not seen ANY data to support that.  Just because someone says it does not make it true.

What I do know for a FACT is that the COVID vaccines do not keep you from getting COVID, the vaccines only lesson the impact of COVID.  I have seen that first hand.  Since the vaccinated can still pass on the COVID virus, there is NO reason to force someone who does not want to be vaccinated to be vaccinated.  If they choose not to protect themselves it is their choice.  Their choice does not present any additional risk to me on whether I get COVID or not, since I can equally get infect with COVID by someone who has been vaccinated or not.
