Philadelphia Indoor Dining What You Need to Know

Hello Hannah - although some people may forget it, kindness is always on the menu.  Not only does a server offer it, but the one dining can share it as well.  It seems only proper to me.  

I don't like the sound of all these restrictions coming back and I hope that they don't make their way to Arizona, haha.

Good morning Hannah. Here in Chicago, if you are 5 or older, you must present confirmation of vaccination to enter a dining establishment. Yet confirmation of vaccination is not enough for our teachers to teach on person. And we want to know why we trail the world in education? We don't have capable teachers. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, Hannah... thank heavens this is not something we are dealing with here in the Charlotte area. I can tell you that if we were I'd stop eating out until those requirements went away. My family in Russia to this day goes nowhere locally without all their identifying "papers" and passports. This kind of regulation smacks of totalitarianism to me.

Hannah, we are seeing a huge surge of new COVID cases around here too, so bet we will have some changes in indoor dining also.

Hannah I am in agreement with Brian England and Nina Hollander, Broker these regulations have nothing to do with safety or science.  Being vaccinated does not keep you from getting the virus or spreading it to someone else.  There are numerous reports of this, and just this past week one of my best friends, who is vaccinated and also has gotten his booster shot, came down with COVID.  The shots simply help to reduce the impact of the virus, they do not keep us from getting it or spreading it. 

Hi Hannah- I hope that restaurants don't have to shut down. And I agree with George Souto And since it's hard to get tested for Covid, how do they expect people to comply? Today, Geraldo Rivera on the Five on Fox had to "eat crow" (His words) because even though he's vaccinated, he got Covid. Took him two days to get a test. 

With guidelines changing so rapidly, it's good that you are letting Philadelphia citizens know what's up in your community, Hannah.

Hannah for some reason I am not able to comment above, so I will respond here.  Both my wife and I are fully vaccinated and have also gotten the booster shot.  I do not have any issue with vaccines, what I do have a BIG issue with is someone feeling they have the right to mandate someone else to inject something into their body that they do not want to.

I keep on hearing how masks protect you, and that a certain distance protects you, but I have not seen ANY data to support that.  Just because someone says it does not make it true.

What I do know for a FACT is that the COVID vaccines do not keep you from getting COVID, the vaccines only lesson the impact of COVID.  I have seen that first hand.  Since the vaccinated can still pass on the COVID virus, there is NO reason to force someone who does not want to be vaccinated to be vaccinated.  If they choose not to protect themselves it is their choice.  Their choice does not present any additional risk to me on whether I get COVID or not, since I can equally get infect with COVID by someone who has been vaccinated or not.
