Red Hook High School 2008 Graduation

Red Hook High School Graduation 2008 June 29th

Today in the village of Red Hook it was more crowded than usual, and with good reason.  Yes today was the Red Hook High School class of 2008 graduation.

I can just imagine how proud your parents, grandparents, relatives and friends were to see you get to this point.  Soon those many hours spent doing homework will be a distant memory, but was well worth it because now you have a foundation on which to build.

I could not help thinking that it was only a few years ago that I was one of those proud parents.  At my daughter's graduation I remembered how wet everyone was, but we were happy to be in attendance.  Today's graduation was similar to my son's, a very humid day but the show does go on.

So congratulations to Red Hook High School class of 2008.

Congrats Red Hook! Now they have to strat their "real" life....unless they go for 3-4 years of college, which, these days, is almost a must.Great pictures Jennifer.

Hi Jennifer,
A graduation is a wonderful reason to celebrate.  It's the end to one phase of the student's life and education and the beginning to another, whether that be higher education or the entering the work force.

Gary - That is so true life will never be the same.  For some parents this means they will have an  empty nest.

George - I can so relate to that.

Kim -  Yes I knew someone who was graduating, knew her since she was a baby.

Barbara - Thank you.

Carol - I am sure they appreciate the well wishes.

Kim - It will be a whole new world out there, some will adopt quickly while others will struggle.

LLoyd - I so agree.

Tracy - It will be a great occassion and a life changing one when he takes off for college.

Cynthia - That is so truth, and hopefully between the training the parents provided and the formal education they received will prepared them to face the world.
