Finally…it is the New Year. With the last two years we all have had its time we start looking forward to anything. The most common thing to come when the calendar clicks over is, resolutions.
When making New Years resolutions we tend to set these expectations that we will never achieve. We can all last a solid two weeks or shoot if you are really dedicated you might last 2-3 months, but the time always comes when we start slowing down on our commitments to our resolutions.
We tick through the days of the year, the next year approaches, we set another resolution that we never achieve. It’s a revolving door. So how can we break this cycle?
The only answer I can come up with is, when it comes to setting your resolutions, you need to set achievable goals. Why start of the year by setting yourself up for failure? How can you set a goal and make it happen?
First, you need to find out what you want or to work towards. Break it down, look at your goal and think of small/easier goals that you can complete to help you complete your overall goal. Then write it down, hold yourself accountable, tell someone what your goals are. Once, you have worked your way through the year accomplishing your resolution, you’ll thank me.
