Real Estate Don't Play That Way!

This is great advice!  It seems that no matter how long we have been in real estate, it is always a roller coaster.

Hello Wanda - I agree with Nina Hollander, Broker the tale beyond an overnight success in any field often reveals a much different story.  

I agree with you--in the beginning, I think it's important to establish specific ways to keep up with your COI--it can be a newsletter, sending out market stats, birthday cards, drop by little trinkets---whatever it is, be consistant!

I thought that success for real estate agents was a function of how nice and new and luxurious is the car in which you drive buyers to see houses.

• One, was to slow it down!
• Two, set up processes and procedures
• Three, allow consistent methods to guide

boom boom and boom! Haste makes waste and headaches . . . real estate is not and never will be an 'in the moment' thing but a process . . . we've seen the bloopers new agents in boom markets make that rear their heads down the line, and we're about to see it again very very soon! xoxoxoxoxo

New agents who yearn to be on the instantaneous, fast track to business building, need to take a realistic approach. In this industry, it takes time to reach real estate success and tenacity to remain.

In my previous career as a Training Manager- I often worked alongside or even worked in the role myself of creating policy and procedures at investment banks. When I changed careers- so many of my colleagues didn't understand why it was taking me so long to really get moving more aggressively at first- but I was understanding the typical process so that I could have procedures in place. 

Beware the newest 'shiny object'. Good post.
