Services for Real Estate Pros with Ward County Notary Services

I think we are all familiar with the character in Greek mythology who was dammed to rolling a boulder up a hill for all eternity. I believe his name was Sisyphus but I may have my theology mixed up and I'm not so sure the story has anything to do with persistence brings success as I don't think he ever gets that boulder to the top either BUT...

We all know, and are taught it early in life, that persistence often pays off. Not always but often.

Yesterday I mentioned the one chore I failed to complete was getting Timmothy's car started. Well despite the fact that today was even colder than yesterday we finally had success! First I nearly set the car on fire but that's another story for later.

Persistence is an important element to success.  I recently had to replace my cellphone.  It took me a day and a half to figure out how to set up my voice mail greeting.  The videos for my model of phone conflicted.  I finally found one on YouTube that got it right.

Well now, I wonder if your insurance would cover "accidentally" setting a car on fire.

Well Done Bob "RealMan" Timm - persistence paid off!

Thank you for the feature Myrl Jeffcoat and that goodness for YouTube as some helpful postings there have really helped me out as. Some videos have also showed me that a project was just plain well over my head as well. 😌

Ron and Alexandra Seigel Timmothy is very happy as he was a bit anxious about getting to class tomorrow. I'm just happy that I don't need to call the auto club tomorrow. The "almost" setting the car on fire did cost me $20.00 to replace a part I melted down but I'm still a very happy camper A.

I love that Endre Barath, Jr. and firmly believe it is true of you. Now I have to think if there is one word to sum up my attitude.

Congratulations, Bob! I'm glad you didn't have to call the fire department or your insurance company. I'm trying to imagine how that conversation would have gone.

Jan 10, 2022 02:16 AM
Bob "RealMan" Timm

It would go like this Carol Williams : "Hello, Pat? I was using a paint removal heat gun on Timmothy's car engine and I set the car on fire."

More to come.

Hello Bob - Causing a fire?  Oops.   Hmm, I guess there is another story there.  I am glad your original intended mission was accomplished.

Michael Jacobs I didn't think about the placement of the heat gun I put under the hood until an hour later when smoke started to billow out from under the hood.

I am glad to hear that you kept after it and finally got it up and running again, I am sure he is happy to have his car back and ready to use.

He is thrilled Brian England as he was getting pretty anxious about how he would get to college today. Timmothy doesn't adjust to change real easy, it's part of his high functioning autism.

I'm glad the car finally started! Is your winter normally in the minuses?

Jan 10, 2022 04:56 AM
Bob "RealMan" Timm

It seems like it Kat Palmiotti but I don't think so. I'd say over-all our highs average out to about 20 degrees above and the lows average out to the singe digits. This would hold true for December through January.

Good morning Bob. Persistence pays. This morning thanks to three "want-to-be" real estate experts posting all they know, found this post on page 28. Time for a vacation from this site. Enjoy your day.

Oh I know Wayne Martin . I don't know if there is more than one or two who are posting all that garbage but it doesn't pay to look at recent posts right now. I've reset my preferences to only see those I'm following.

Hi Bob - it must be cold there.  Do you have one of those electric warming dip sticks.  I have seen them in cars in New York near the Canadian Border.

Jan 10, 2022 05:21 AM
Bob "RealMan" Timm

That is a good idea Grant Schneider as they are easy to install and use. More typical here is the engine block heater. It's more permeant and heats the water inside the block instead of the oil. This is what I have on my Yukon BUT I like your idea of the oil dipstick heater.

I get that Ed Silva as I am often close to that line. Had this happened on a regular weekday I may have just called the auto club but I was concerned about the cost of having this fixed over the weekend.
