It is almost July and then the 4th of July is here with all the b-b-q's and pool parties, vacations and fun at the beach. Which I am all for, but I also like to remember those that have laid down their lives for our freedom. I also like to remember those that are currently serving this great country of ours. Regardless of your views on the war(s) and their purposes, our troops are doing their jobs and deserve our support.
Only time will tell if what we are currently doing is right or wrong. Just as it has in the past with WWl and WWll and some of the other wars, conflicts, battles.
There are plenty of other things to be concerned with as well. As Realtors, we pay attention to the economy, the housing statistics, the local and county governmental agencies. We know that although some things are going on Nationally, we are all local. It is what happens in our towns and communities across the fruited plain that matters most.
My heart goes out to all the people that have been devastated by floods and fires, tornados and hurricanes. Those that have suffered a loss due to someone else's stupidity.
Please remind all your friends and family and loved ones this Holiday season that if they are drinking at all ......DO NOT DRIVE....period...end of sentence.. NADA, not just around the corner, down the block, nothing. Call a cab.
Here is another important bit of information
on your cell phone, in your contacts, put in ICE, which stands for In Case of Emergency, then put in the phone # of the person that emergency personal should call. If you have more than one person you would like them to call then put ICE 1, ICE 2, etc. All emergency people know to look on the cell phone if you are unconscious and look up in the contacts ICE. I recently learned of this and one of the agents in my office, his daughter was involved in a car accident and he got a call.
Please pass that information on to everyone you know it could save a life.
