New company/New marketing

Home Inspector with Byrd-House Inspections

My husband & I own a "new" home inspection business. We are marketing in all kinds of new ways - including being on this great RE website! I'd like to let the real estate agents know that new doesn't exactly mean inexperienced.....or a fly by night company. Byrd-House Inspections is out marketing just like everyone else & making ourselves known in our community. I wish that some of the other real estate professionals would remember when they were NEW & what it was like. We are trained, educated & provide a great service.

I spent a Sunday afternoon giving out "open house survival kits" to the realty agents working open houses. My son & I did this together, to help MARKET our business & get some more inspections. We are doing well, but I would like to do BETTER! Our company strives to be the best it can be. Give us a try! you won't be disappointed!

Nikki, What goes into an open house survival kit?  It sounds like a great idea.

I learned about this marketing idea from a fellow NACHI member/inspector. You can personalize the survival kit any way you like. But for us, this is what I used: paper bag (stamped with company name) inside was some chocolate candy, tin of mints, gum, snack crackers, & ofcourse a company brochure & business card. We also handed out bottles of water, also stamped with our company name. The Realty agents seemed to enjoy the thought. And we got to spread the word about our company. Good luck!
