Pictured above is a brand that embodies its location. We really like this brand for its colors and the play on words. Hoppy refers to the beer style. And we are all delightfully happy when the poppies are in bloom.
When the California poppies bloom, one of the best places to view them in Santa Barbara County is on Figueroa Mountain. Figueroa Mountain trail is a 3.9 mile out and back trail located near Los Olivos, California that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking.
Looking up at the mountain in the spring time, the intense orange of the poppies give the impression that the mountain is on fire. And yes, they do grow hops there.
We are not beer drinkers, except on rare occasions, so rare that I cannot remember the last time I had a beer or tasted one. Those who do, like the beer. There is a tasting room in the downtown funk zone of Santa Barbara!
