Yesterday afternoon, when we strolled to the beach, the lighting was other worldly, ethereal defined as extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world! We felt that it was such a beautiful feeling being there, that we could fly.
Flying is a word that has so many meanings, like acing a test with flying colors. In songs, being in love and feeling you could fly, or feeling good--flying high!

We watched pelicans fly in formation as they skimmed the waves looking for fish to catch, and we imagined what it would be like to have that soaring experience of looking down with wings to keep us in the air.

As we were walking back heading home, we heard some very noisy motors behind us, and looked up. Two guys we sailing across the sky in their motorized paragliders. They flew up to the Carpinteria Bluffs, where they could safely land.
