Great Deals

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Cape Cod and the Islands

It's Sunday morning and the weather is gorgeous here on Cape Cod. After an early morning church service, my wife and I went to a listing of mine that a young couple from the west coast will be closing on Monday morning. We vacuumed and did some light weeding so it would look nice for them (the seller lives in Texas). As we were looking the house over, my wife commented that they got a great deal on the house and she wondered whether they would realize it.

I think that they do know that they got a lot of house that is in perfect condition for less than it would cost to build it. It really is a great deal and is symbolic of the many "great deals" that are currently available to qualified buyers on Cape Cod.

If you have any clients who are interested in upper Cape Cod, I would welcome your referrals and would provide them with the kind of personal service that would make you feel good.

What a great time of year to have a home on the Cape especially for the summer!

Congrats on your sale Steve. Nice to hear that you dont have a problem with light vacuuming and weeding for your clients. It may be a coincidence but I also got a client from the West Coast who heard about our excellent real estate prices that we have now on the Cape!

Hi Steve, it was so nice to hear of you and your wife at the new home weeding and cleaning up a bit..what a difference it makes to walk into your new home and see that it has been cared for.  Glad to hear business is moving..Congrats

Steve,

I think you should send this blog into the Cape Cod Times.  It is a great point that your clients need to realize just how great the deal they received was.  To buy a nice home for less than the build price is truly a great deal and people need to read about some of the good things in the market rather than the constant negative.

Jim, Steve, Tara and Ted:

Thanks for the comments.

Jim, the summer is a great time to be on Cape Cod and we are very fortunate. How is the Atlanta market? What trends are you seeing?

Steve, Tara and Ted: It is true that people can get a nice house for less than it would cost to build the same house. When you add the fact that mortgage rates are still historically low, it's no wonder that we are having a busy spring/summer season here.

Happy 4th of July!
