My poor daughter is one of those renters in Denver. It's ridiculous what she pays for a small two bed/one bath apartment. One of these days, we've got to get her in homeownership. Right now though, is not the time to buy either. It's a Catch-22.

Brian rents are going through the roof. In many cases the monthly mortgage payment with taxes and insurance, is less then the monthly rental payment on comparable units.

It seems that a mortgage payment with taxes and insurance has always been less than whatever market rent would be for a similar home George Souto at least that is what I have seen in my area.
