Let me tell you, it's a big day when Gary decides to take the 'boys' with him to his second home, Home Depot! When he drives in the parking lot and goes to get a cart they know what's coming and they start barking and wagging their tails. First he arranges a little pad in the cart so it's easier for the 'boys' to hang out in. Then he takes them one by one and places them just right so Barney can see out his right eye as he's blind in the other one. Do they stay this way? Of course not but he tries!
The other day I went with all my boys on the big adventure and was glad I did! Just as we got out of the truck a family came walking by with two adorable twin boys around age 5. I'm not sure who was more excited the twins or the 'boys'! Would you like to pet the dogs? They'd love that if you did, but only if Mom and Dad are ok with that. Oh man......that was so darn cute. All them loving on each other! We chatted with the parents a bit and it was time to move on.
Then as we entered the store there was another little boy about age 5 and he spotted the 'boys' right away. He ran over with his Dad in tow. And I'm sure you know it was another love fest moment!
Success!
Did the love fest end there? Of course not!! From there we ran in to several retired folks who asked - what aisle did you find them in? I said aisle 13 and we all chuckled and they told us about their dogs.
As you probably figured out by now, a 10 minute trip to Home Depot is more like 30 minutes when the boys go along. And it's worth it for all the 'boys'!
