"Be kind when ever possible. It is always possible" Dalai Lama
I have always believed, that for every action there will be a reaction. Yes, the old physics philosophy for ever action there will be a cause and effect. I have always preached that if we treat people the right way, they will treat us back the same way.
Well, it has not always been the case in my life, nevertheless I continued not only preaching, but acting that way and hoping I am right.
In other words, I always tried to be myself. It is not easy at times to behave in situations when the other person well let me just be kind and acts like a ‘Jerk’. Now I am digressing, so with that said, let me get back to my point.
We can always behave better in situations that we are comfortable with. If we are a caring and loving person, it is easier to be kind.
Now with that said let me share with you this story. A couple years ago Diane and I have had a conversation with a person who would pull up on Sundays in front of our home and go through the Recycle Bin. He was very nice and kind and asked if we would be so kind and leave the Blue Bin in our driveway and he would be happy to pull it out once he got there. Keep in mind the recycle business is very competitive, we noticed at least 10 to 15 people going to those bins on Sundays.
We graciously complied, and interestingly we were worried when our “recycle guy” was running late and hoped he was well, and nothing happened to him.
Fast forward to last Monday evening as our doorbell rang and both Diane and I were thinking who is at our door, we were not expecting company.
I opened the door and there was our recycle guy. He had this plat in his hand, he tried to explain who he was, I knew right away and called Diane,
I told her she had company. She immediately went out and had a five-minute conversation, yes both were masked😊!
Our recycle friend wanted to thank us for letting him have all our weekly recycle items. Well, it turned out our neighbor across the street noticed that we would not put our Blue Bin out and this man would come and take it out for us. He had a conversation with him as well and now “our recycle friend” has a new customer too.
He was very appreciative and wanted to thank us and gave us this present. My heart was warmed by this kind gesture, and it reassured my faith in mankind as well as my belief if you treat people the right way they will treat you kindly back.
