And That
Brings Us To This Moment. . .
“In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter,
and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
On Sunday, a friend suggested we see a movie. He had made the previous film recommendation, so it only seemed fair that I choose this one, he said in an almost convincing way. You would think he might guess that I would select something kinda obscure. And I did.
When I first learned of the movie a few days earlier - I didn’t really know much (okay, almost nothing) about the small country where it takes place. Although I had heard about the film, the details about it were also scant. It turns out the basic information I learned about Bhutan proved quite useful.
You see the country has embraced a gross national happiness philosophy which plays a significant part of this film. Believe me, Lunana: A Yak In The Classroom is not likely to attract much attention although I will say I liked it. A lot. On the other hand, my friend said, “it was okay”. After all next time, it’s his turn.
