Friday Fun…A Favorite Gift

Kathy, I usually know what the client wants during the transaction.   Sadly, it is a gift card to Home Depot or a furniture store.

We've given all kinds of different cool gifts to clients.  It's always fun to do and mainly they're focused around what they like, appreciate and would actually use.  Clients have given us many great gifts as well such as flowers, baskets, gift certificate to someplace fun etc etc

I filled a bowl with all of the things to make fantastic Margaritas, including some of our home grown Meyer's Lemons.  It went over well.  It was the perfect gift for the perfect client.

It’s always a good idea to give a gift with a special meaning between the two of you. Love doing that stuff

Kathy when I attend a Closing I bring a bottle of wine from one of our local wineries, and I tell my Borrowers when I give it to them, that I hope they "enjoy it with their first meal in their new home."

I have always sent a note of appreciation and let them know that I made donations in their name to Children's Miracle Network, Susan Komen foundation and a Scholarship fund my has in memory of her deceased son.

Hi Kathy Streib - I personalize the gifts for my client.  I listen to what they might need or want and then I get it for them.  Sometimes, if it is an out-of-state buyer, I usually have the keys and I might stock the refrigerator and of course, have a bottle of champagne.  I close on a home on Monday.  My client is moving locally so I will bring an assortment of breakfast treats for them and their movers.  Every client is different.  This couple has become friends so we will see them many more times. 

I used to give throw blankets with a thank you embroidered into the corner. I had a client who I had 5 transactions with and each of their young children had one of my blankets. It was really sweet Kathy. Happy Friday 🙂

Kathy I used to give closing gifts to clients depending on what I figured out they liked... last few years I have not given any closing gifts, they felt good about the quality service they received and still were thrilled without any gifts, Endre

I often gave gift cards to Home Depot or Lowe's as closing gifts.  I found when folks first move into their new home, these cards can be valuable.

Fresh vegetables from the garden is always well received in a nice basket during growing season, Kathy. Home Depot or Lowe's gift cards are appreciated as well!

We try to customize it to our clients. However, we have very nice ( expensive ) logo coffee mugs that we give special clients with a variety of local coffee beans. It goes over very well as we know they love good coffee.
