How close have you ever been to a bald eagle in person, live?
About five years ago my wife and I visited for a week in Alaska a real estate client of mine, they lived right on the channel, or the bay I guess you would call it, but they were high up you could look down on the water. We would see fishing boats often coming and going.
In the front of their home was a tall tree around forty-five feet tall, and our host pointed out to us the eagle’s nest at the top of the tree. The eagle would swoop down get a fish and sometimes drop part of a fish on the walk from the street to their porch.
When we were in the back yard, we could see the eagle come over the roof of the house, curve around and as he spotted a fish he dove down and swooped it up and back to its nest. What an amazing experience we had for a week.
The eagle was chosen because of its association with authority and statehood, in fact, the eagle had been used as a symbol of governmental power since Roman times.
I hope your day is as great as mine
