Winnetka Real Estate Broker Margaret Goss enjoys a reputation for service and trustworthiness that provides her with what every long-term REALTOR® wants – a twenty-one year career largely built on referrals and repeat business from satisfied clients.
At the root of her success is her commitment to listening well, taking the time to understand her client's needs and wishes, and then keeping them fully informed throughout the process. Clients often remark on her patience and the fact that she never leans on them to take action before they're ready.
While many cite a love of homes for their entry into real estate, Margaret cites her love of people. She enjoys meeting new people, hearing their stories, and working with them to attain their goals. She loves answering clients' questions and teaching them about the process of buying or selling a home. She also enjoys teaching relocating clients about Winnetka and the Chicago North Shore suburbs.
Because Margaret has been assisting clients in the North Shore Suburbs since 1998, many of her listing clients are former buyer clients who are now ready to downsize. To help them, and others, tackle the process without becoming overwhelmed, she shares a brochure she wrote entitled "Downsizing the Family Home."
After becoming a REALTOR®, she earned the
GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative)
CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations. The CRS designation is based on both classwork and achievement, and is held by only 5% of all REALTORS®.
Margaret also serves on the North Shore Barrington’s Board of Professional Standards Committee. This volunteer position allows her to keep up-to-the-minute on industry practices regarding ethics and issues pertaining to contracts, commissions, and other real estate matters.
Tech-savvy, Margaret uses the latest on-line resources to make communication and processes simpler for her clients, as well as to market her listings both nationally and internationally. She is social market savvy and promotes her listings via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instragram, and her blog.
A resident of the North Shore area since 1986, Margaret not only stays current with market conditions and current inventory in Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Northfield, and Glencoe, she is also familiar with the social aspects and amenities of these communities.
She was involved with school activities when her children were young and she has served on the board of the Howard Area Community Center. Her two children are now adults and reside in the Chicago area. Nowadays, she is involved with local activities such as Friends of the Green Bay Trail and Go Green Winnetka. A pet lover who actively supports animal rescue groups, her household includes a rescued Chihuahua.
Margaret enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, and anything animal related. She is also passionate about hot yoga and bridge, and regularly works out at the gym. You’ll often see her at the Winnetka Fitness Center at the Community House early in the morning.
As an added benefit, Margaret will donate a new bicycle during the holidays to a child in need after every closing.
When you're looking for a knowledgeable, experienced Chicago North Shore REALTOR® who will be your guide, your adviser, and your champion, turn to Margaret Goss. You'll soon know why her past clients are such loyal fans.
