I remember taking the kids many times to a local farm with peacocks and how the males used to impress their future mates. They were so attractive!

Ed, with the baby heron, maybe spring is getting close!   So fun to see spring bloom and blossom.

Hello Ed and yes getting close to Spring but March is a month in Denver were we get more snow.

Hi Ed Silva - You just reminded me of the quail who will be starting their families soon. I love to see them running around the yard. Of course, all the birds will be building nests soon as well.  We came back from a long vacation one year and realized that there was a bird nest in our front door wreath.  There were eggs in it.  The door has glass and everytime we would walk by or open the door the mama would fly away.  I had to get creative and put cardboard to cover the glass.

I was out working in my garden planting African Daisies I purchased from Lowe's yesterday.  I had to smile, when a pair of doves scampered out from beneath a couple bushes.  It's that time of year!

Hi Ed- When we lived in Delray Beach, there were dozens and dozens of peacocks in the area. They loved to strut their stuff  to the peahens in the breeding season. The other day we saw two hawks frolicking on the phone wires near the house. 

Ed I am anxiously awaiting Spring, but first we still have to get through what is a cold month of March.

Oh yes, Spring is the start of new beginnings. Am excited Ed, it also means growing season in the back yard garden!

Love the photos, Ed. Spring is certainly a time for many new beginnings, or attempts at them. Guess the game with the peahens is to keep the peacock guessing. The males are fun to watch when they perform.
