The Noodle Ministry.

I don't know what the absolute lowest point was in your life but for some people it is when they find themselves in jail and flat broke. That person is referred to as "an indigent prisoner" . Many of these people were once bright students and leaders in their occupations but along came drugs, alcohol, death of a loved one or divorce... and they didn't cope well.

At this stage, sitting in a jail, broke and abandon it's no wonder they feel worthless.

Showing them God's love is what The Noodle Ministry is about. We don't preach at them, we feed them, we cloth them, and we let them know that we are here if they need us to be there with them.

The Noodle Ministry is very miserly (cheap) with it's funds. All actions are carried out by volunteers, there are no paid employees and we shop HARD for the best deals on Ramen Noodles. We also purchase socks for the indigent prisoners and they are usually 3 pairs for a dollar when we find them. Food and clothing, that is what Christ called us to do. What good is it for a preacher to say "may all be well with you" and then walk away from one in need? That is why The Noodle Ministry acts on behalf of those in need and not preaches to them.

If you are compelled to help note that even $5.00 is a big help as it will purchase 25 servings of Ramen Noodles or 15 pairs of socks. Please send any donations to:

Thank you Ron and Alexandra Seigel . I enjoy this ministry for many reasons although I rarely see the results of my efforts or receive thanks for it.

Thank you Grant Schneider . Having had a heavily chemically dependent sibling I have a heart for those with an addiction that leads them to jail time. Regretfully jail time is rarely a cure. God's love is the only true cure.

Bob- I love that you and others provide this service to your community. Our good friend drives 1 1/2 hours each way to a prison here for ministry and gets so much out of it. We met people on our walk who volunteer at another nearby prison. It is a gift of love for them.

What a wonderful thing you and your church are doing, Bob. I would venture to say that most of us never give two thoughts to the indigent prisoners. They are invisible to most of us.
