Chris Qwens Easter Parade
New Orleans French Quarter
Easter Sunday, April 21,2019
35th Annual Easter Parade of Chris Owens
People who own a second home in New Orleans in 97% condos. This parade came after the French Quarter Fest last week and the week before Jazz Fest. There are always several great Fest and Great Things to do several times every month. Many owers will let their frinds and relatives use their second home to have a really nice time. In the past 5-7 years we see more second homers who live not that far away from New Olreans.
People who have condos on St. Charles Avenue can take the streetcars to Canal Street and be near the parade as it starts. This parade started by the Louisiana Supreme Coourt Building and went down Royal Street to Canal Street and turned back on Bourbon Street for a return to the French Quarter.
This past Sunday wa a really nice and colorful parade. Made it to the French Quarter after church so I could view and take photos. It was a very colorful parade with many throws of beads and stuffed animals. I have been to this parade for about 5 years and see some different things each year. Many more throws this year.
Having the parade like this in the French Quarter makes you very close to the dancers and the floats. All the kids had a great time watching and catching the many throws. Look at how colorful people are dancing and on the floats. Lots of rabbit ears and colorful hats walking down the street.
