Would the County Lie to You?

If I said "That's a Whooper" I'd have to say I'm not talking about fishing in this case. My 2 minute explanation is embedded in the GIF below.

Last Fall I was lulled unto thinking that my property taxes would not go up or would go up very little. That was because all news outlets were feed that line from the County. Well the rate may not have gone up but our property values via assessment jumped up by 10% or more! You don't have to sit idly by, you can challenge the appraisal and it's not to hard to do.

That is exactly right Ed Silva . Problem is that a lot of that "extra" money came from government giveaway programs and people don't have the money to pay those "giveaways" back.

What really bothers me about this large increase in value is that we are way behind the rest of the nation in growth and much more about "everyone else" (other communities) are doing it.

I was amazed at what they came up with for my properties value Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist . The comparables my active Realtor friend cam up with showed there should be no increase. That being said they came down a little bit but not much.
