Once upon a time, there used to be an unsightly Super 8 Motel on Beltway Drive in Addison, Texas just west of Midway Road. The motel burned down several years ago and eventually what remained of the motel was bulldozed. The lot was listed for sale, but sat vacant.
Over a year ago, Cobalt Homes began discussions with the owner of the property about purchasing the lot. In February, these developers of small, infill communities reached out to the nearby home owners to get some input. As if in a fairy tale, they actually listened to the residents and made changes to their plans based upon those suggestions. The Planning and Zoning Committee approved the updated zoning change plans, and last month the town council did, too.
Welcome to Addison, Cobalt Homes!

The new community, to be called Addison Reserve Town Homes, will have 31 three-story, rear-entry, fee-simple units, all with 2-car garages and at least 1,400 square feet. Cobalt agreed to dedicate a public right of way on the east side for a new public street and there will be a public trail at the the west edge.
They anticipate a 4th Q 2022 start for construction, depending on timelines for platting and permitting reviews. The expected price range will be over $500,000.
