Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 and Debe Maxwell, CRS are conducting a challenge for the month of April entitled "What Does ActiveRain Mean to You?" The point of the challenge is to share a collage that demonstrates what ActiveRain means to us.
So here's my entry.

Ideas:
I often get great ideas from fellow ActiveRainers about how to handle real estate deals, or about how to live life, or how to do a listing presentation. Active Rain provides never ending new ideas for doing things, whatever they are.
Sharing:
Similar to Ideas but different. People here share a million things - ways to garden, things that mean something to them, what to do when addressing adversity, how to market, how to brand, how to take great photos, inspiring quotes, challenges to watch out for, people who inspire.
Meeting new people:
We don't have to meet in person. I have "met" many people here in ActiveRain. Those who share knowledge on Zoom calls or via posts. Or those I've actually met in person.
It's all a wonderful part of life.
Food:
Who knew having the ability to share recipes or great restaurant meals would be so much fun? Want to know what Chef Dolores cooks? Or want to see what Endre Barath, Jr. just prepared? Or want to see what anyone else experiments with? ActiveRain has got it all!
Flowers/Gardening:
Want to see amazing photos of flowers? Read anything by Roy Kelley and you'll see amazing flowers. Want gardening tips? Check out Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! or any of the gardening gurus here!
Laughing:
ActiveRain can be a source of chuckles. There are so many posters who share thoughts of the day, quotes of the day, laughs of the day. Just look around - you might find a fun video or riddle or trivia tidbit.
Making Friends:
Who knew I would meet ActiveRainers ( like Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP ) at a writer's conference, or meet others via a Facebook message, or a Zoom call, or a phone call, or a letter, or a request for assistance, or a face-to-face together, and make a lifelong friend. Who knew?
Referrals:
ActiveRain is a great place for referrals. Whether giving or receiving, we get to know the people here. We know who we would trust with our clients or family or friends, and we are happy to hand off those people to professionals we know have their back. And ours.
Sharing:
This sort of wraps it all up.
ActiveRain is about sharing. Thoughts. Tips. Marketing ideas. Cooking techniques. Pet loving. Places to visit. Places to live. What's going on in our area. How to deal with issues. What works with clients. The best way to do a listing discussion. Ways to do social media. Ideas for staying safe in the Cyberworld. How to sell unique homes. And we share how we feel. And what we want. And what we believe.
Bottom line? ActiveRain is a wonderful real estate networking site that is so much more than that.
But if you're already a member, you know that. And for that, thank you.
