Carlsbad's TGIF Concerts in the Parks Series
June 24 - August 19, 2022
The first day of summer is June 21, and the annual TGIF Concerts in the Parks series starts a few days later.
There’s no doubt the free TGIF Concerts in the Parks are a highlight of summertime in Carlsbad. Plus it’s exciting to have the live concerts again after being canceled in 2020 and only virtually in 2021.
This free outdoor concert series may be the best entertainment option around North San Diego County!
You can’t go wrong with a combination of great live music, in one of our beautiful Carlsbad parks, on a Friday summer evening, for free. It doesn’t get much better!
2022 will be the 35th season of Carlsbad’s popular TGIF Concerts in the Parks series, presented by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office. TGIF concerts take place on 9 consecutive Friday nights in 4 of Carlsbad’s largest community parks.
The TGIF Concerts in the Parks are popular with visitors and residents and have been for years. The scene? A couple thousand people dining al fresco, a sea of blankets and low-back chairs, lots of kids, dancing, and terrific live music.
The TGIF concerts start at 6 and run until approximately 8 pm, with intermission generally around 6:45 or 7 pm when they raffle off a number of really cool prizes. Funds raised from the raffle support various arts programs in Carlsbad.
