Let's look for some Steals and Deals this week. I love talking to my lady friends and retired male friends as most of them know where to shop for the best deals. That is where I found the Grocery Outlet just by speaking with friends .Well to change the subject just a little last week if you remember I talked about how happy I was with the HP laser all in one printer I purchased from Amazon well it stopped working in three days. My friend stopped over who helped me set it up . We called HP support nothing worked. Amazon is sending a printer replacement I   returned  this one to the UPS Store. Hoping the new one is going to work

Across from the UPS Store  was the Grocery Outlet so it was easy to check their sales canned soups were on sale $1.49-$1.69 it made me think of Myrl Jeffcoat telling me last week how much soup was. Their produce was so reasonable that I have been spoiled to the point that I walked out of a local farmers market as their prices were so much more there and not even as fresh baby spinach  was $3.99 where other stores were as much as $5-$6 for the same thing. They had Donut house coffee pods for $2.99 .A sized giant larger than In purchasing  at Chewy of Temptations cat treats for $1.79. I also love their crab and cheese mini cakes big bag $5.99 enough for several dinners with real crabmeat. Do not forget to bring your bags as in Philly the stores are going to get fined if they get caught  giving out plastic bags it is now being enforced.

Across in the next parking lot is LIDL have to stop there for their great breads and sales ask Nina Hollander, Broker plus this week that had great sales on meats, especially  single glazed spiral ham was the rock bottom price 85 cents a pound and they were beautiful so hurry on down before they are gone. In fact, I may go back and get one. They also had the most beautiful produce so fresh and reasonable I purchased the most delicious small seedless black grapes sweet as can be. Coconut rolled dates so fresh. My favorite is the pizza bread so delicious Don't forget to bring your bags as stores will charge you extra for bags !

Earlier in the week produce I stopped at Produce  Junction in Bensalem. I really wanted a new Orchid and I was in the area . When I parked the car there was a woman next to me with a full cart of flowers and vegetables. She looked anxious . I asked her if she needed help. She told me her trunk would not open. She had pushed the button inside the car and on her remote and it would not open, I said maybe it is the battery in the remote let me try ;but it did not work for me either except when I manually opened her trunk . We both laughed and she thanked me. They had beautiful flowers especially tulips for $6 for a large bunch . I saw orchids and found some beautiful ones with three blooms in colors I do not have. $16 including tax Great Price in ceramic pots  I picked up 2  - one in Yellow the other in a beautiful Mauve

The next deal is Allure Beauty BOX : I have had this subscription for years and thinking about it is worth every penny. Every month they send me face masks ,face creams , eye creams ,eye make up ,lip sticks and many other things to try . It has been years since I have spent money on expense products as I have boxes full. I get to try all different kinds some small samples and three full size each month , It is well worth the price. allure beauty box  code

This week I received many text messages asking me questions like I know who they are. I have to ask who are you? Some are from agents asking me if my listings are still available. The other morning I received a text asking me if one of my listings were still available. I asked who it was ? It turned out to be a buyer , We had a long conversation . We texted back and forth for a long time. Many who know me know I work by referral or with past clients . I liked this person we met at the office and we hit it off . I liked them even more when we met. They are first time home buyers and we are going to keep in touch. They need to meet with a mortgage banker next .

This week is our first class for a CSI Designation

Still time to register for Active Rainers

Please come back next week for more Philadelphia Steals & Deals

Good morning Hannah - that is a lot of shopping.  I have gotten to know where buy certain things from  4 supermarkets.  The price of my wife's Yogurt varies from 1.00 to 1..99.

Good morning Grant Schneider  These Dollars add up I used to laugh at my parents when they shopped prices and attributes it to them living through the depression. Now I understand. Why allow big business to steal my money when I can walk across the street and pay less money for better quality

Good morning, Hannah... thanks for the mention in your post... in fact, I'll be popping by Lidl later today to see what's good. And I'll be trying out a new Lidl close to my office as I need to go in and make a bunch of copies. Maybe I'll even treat myself to one of their mini chocolate almond croissant!

Good Morning Wayne Martin I agree with you . I love nothing better than when I am looking for a specific item and find one on sale when I walk in the store. I feel like something pulled me there.  That was how I felt when I found the orchids , I saw them in another store with one bloom for $14. These had 3 blooms for  $16

Such a bummer that your HP printer didn't work, hopefully, the new one will work better.  The HP printer that I have doesn't work as well as I hoped it would have, but that just seems to be the way of the world these days, higher prices, lower quality products, especially from the mega corporations.

Brian England  You would think that it would be an easy set up . I have two HP computers a laptop and a large all in one - I agree with you

Hi Hannah,
It's always annoying when our equipment doesn't work... especially when it's brand new! AT least you get a replacement for free.  I need to get into our Grocery Outlet more often. I don't particularly enjoy shopping so I tend to go where it's convenient.

Carol Williams  I don't understand the crowds and lines at the big brand stores . I stop at the discount stores, but then again, they are close to my office as I seem to get a rush when I find a real bargain and to me it is convenient. Standing in the long lines in the other stores and crowded parking is annoying - Happy Sunday SIS

Hannah, groceries are SO expensive now, so finding those deals is a find!   I didn't go this week, but last week it was $150 FOR A  SINGLE PERSON.    I usually spent from $60-$80 depending on the items.  Thanks for sharing this info!

Hi Joan Cox  I spent $57 all together on food in both stores I know if I had gone to the big brand store it would have been double.  I walked out of the store it was so crowded, so glad I did because I saved money buying in the discount store

Hello Hannah, I guess I make alot of food  and freeze alot to safe me time on some days, from ham, potatoes and string beans and lots of soups.  I buy soup only when they are on sale.

Hello Will Hamm  You are smart! I do not have a big freezer so I do not freeze soups, but I keep  broth to make soup and rarely buy canned soup. Now that I have an air fryer it is so easy to make quick meals

Hannah a lot more of my income has been going towards food these days.  It certainly pays to shop around these days.

George Souto  Unlike others I enjoy shopping . I find it relaxes me. I do not, however, enjoy standing in long checkout lines or overpaying for food. Getting a bargain seems to elevate my mood.

Hi Hannah Williams - I'm sorry to hear about your printer.  That is not something you want to see go out.  However, on the bright side, it went out while you could send it back without much of a hassle from Amazon.  Of course, it is still a pain to pack it up and ship it out. I am sure the replacement will fare much better.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® I certainly hope I dislike being a  pessimist, but if it does not work this time I will want my money back and continue my search for a new printer

Thanks for the mention in your post, Hannah.  I often frequent our local Grocery Outlet.  And, I'm often amazed at the deals I find there.  I am fond of Wonderful brand Pistachios.  A 3 lb. bag of them is about $16.98 at Amazon.  But, imagine my joy at finding it at Grocery Outlet for a mere $9.99.

Hi Hannah- our gasoline prices have gone down somewhat but I did notice that our eggs -1 dozen large- went from $1.69 to $2.14.   I've always shopped for deals but I keep thinking about families with children. I know my nephews eat constantly.

Apr 11, 2022 11:10 AM
Hannah Williams

Kathy Streib  Have not noticed that yet in our area yet . This week I did notice that the signs for eggs were still on sale and as low as 85 cents in LIDL but the shelves were empty as were the Almond Milk  30 calorie cartons . The day I went was a Friday afternoon, so I will say perhaps they were restocking ? I was listening to the news channels how do the average families survive?

Wow you were one busy shopping girl last week!  And you found some new great places and deals.  I've yet to get into Aldi's. I drove by again the other day and again the parking lot was packed - no spots available.  My time will come!!
