Pros of new construction homes

Everything is brand-new

One of the best things about a buying new construction home is that it is brand new and no one has used anything in the house before you.  The house has the latest in new amenities, from the counter tops to appliances and plumbing fixtures.  Everything is in pristine condition and because everything is new, the house is most likely not going to need any repairs

New homes are usually covered by warranty in the event of a problem within the first year but new homes are typically maintenance free for up to 10 years.  New construction homes, versus older homes, are more energy efficient and are equipped with appliances that use less electricity and water.

New construction homes are built to today’s standards

New construction builders are required to follow current energy and code requirements.  Older homes may have problems with older electrical work and plumbing which are expensive to repair.  Even if there aren’t any issues with these things in an older home, a home inspector will require the sellers to bring the house up to code.

You can personalize the house to suit your tastes

Thinking of remodeling an older home? *Home Depot estimates a minor remodel averages $24,000, and a major remodel averages $69,000. With a new construction home you choose the finishes that you want and this eliminates the hassle and added cost you’d have to pay to renovate an existing home.
