Good morning!
Please enjoy a virtual walking tour with me through the streets of Flower Mound, Texas. All photos were shot on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. The Monarch Butterfly was a surprise! Just as I was about to leave it fluttered down on the flowers and seemed to dance around me as I was photographing. I hope you enjoy these April Wildflowers and my thoughts too.
Emerging plants in springtime lifts the human spirit and April fills our gardens, roadsides, parks, and curbsides. Wildflowers are a treat! Now is the time to enjoy the colors of the rainbow that come in the form of beautiful wildflowers. Each one is unique and fills the empty spaces of soil and soul. Birds and butterflies come alive!
Indian Blanket blooms from April through June. Butterflies and bees are attracted to them. People are too! The wildflowers are a brilliant combination of yellow, orange, and red.
Most photographers take shots of Bluebonnets on hills. I like to be different and show you how lovely they look on strips of soil between street and sidewalk. They give you a happy feeling. It was fun to see the bees stay in their own lane not bothering humans. Living on harmony is so beautiful!
Growing near forest trees are tiny purple flowers that become a natural springtime bouquet. Forget-Me-Nots are hard to forget. They grow best in the wild and can be a welcome addition to gardens. If ever a flower could run away from home, I think it would be the Forget-Me-Nots.
Fuchsia is a bold and beautiful color among the wildflowers of Texas. The Winecups are a happy addition to the collection of spring wildflowers. The Monarch Butterfly was incredibly attractive to this flower.
Winecups and Bluebonnets are a magnificent color combination. Each one pops to standout on its own as if to say "Life is Good!"
I hope you enjoyed my walking tour of wildflowers in Flower Mound, TX.
