Selling Your Maryland Home Yourself?

Why do sellers sell their homes themselves?

63% of sellers say it is because they don't feel listing agents do enough to earn their commission but are okay with paying the buyer's agent commission and they want to save that extra commission.

On average homes sold with an agent receive 17% more than homes sold for sale by the owner.  Did you realize you are leaving 11% of the value of your home on the table by not listing with an agent?

I am a listing agent, my average sales to list price is 113.9% which means on average the final sales prices of homes I have sold within the last year are 113.9% higher than the list price, and many with multiple offers.  Check out my reviews on Zillow too.

I agree with you in this market.  The homeowners think they are saving money but instead they are LOSING money and they just don't realize it.  I just spoke to a homeowner that said they did not need an agent and sold their house for x amount and I looked it up and it sold  for $100,000 less than what I could have sold it for but I did not even tell them that since it was already a completed transaction.

Hi June- many sellers think that with it being a seller's market, they could make even more money by selling their home on their own. they might be surprised.
