Okay, I must admit, this is a dangerous post. Centuries from now, historians may look back on this particular blog and state that this one post is what led to the complete and total downfall of humanity.
But color me curious, I have to go there.
You see, I have noticed a “trend” that I don’t get. I don’t see the point of. I see people using pastels and soft colors in professional posts for videos and social media. Some are even washing out the contrast in black and white photos. So, in my opinion, they are making their posts less eye catching.
I have even seen social media pages where dynamic color posts are getting a lot of “likes” and engagement. Then they post something with pastels or washed out colors and they get nothing. Still, they keep going there.
I actually “amp up” my colors as you can see by these examples:

The reason I still “amp up” my colors is that if someone is scrolling through their feed, I want my post to be the one that grabs their attention.
Now, for all the historians (and hysterians) that are reading this monumental post – yes, I realize that a battle is about to begin. I am sure that some folks will write me scathing comments about how pastels and washed out colors are the ONLY way to go. Then someone else will be equally as strong about vibrant colors.
I’m sure there will be blasting, blocking, rumors flying, and then someone may make a last ditch effort and call Putin in to be the neutral party and establish peace. None the less, I pose the question, are there studies proving higher profits from washed out colors or pastels?
