April '22 - Success And Friendship!
That's What ActiveRain Means To Me.
Back in the Dark Ages of 2010, interesting posts from a group called ActiveRain began to show up in my reading. Looking into the community, I discovered that it actually had a phenomenal philosophical base.
The Founders offered a set of Community Guidelines for individuals within the group. In fact, right there, they spelled out good conduct and "bad" as well. Good conduct included maintaining ActiveRain as
"a place where real estate professionals can network with their peers and discuss industry insider topics. It is also a public forum where consumers can pull back the curtain and see what the real estate industry is really about.
"Because of this level of transparency and openness, ActiveRain members must remain zealous in their quest to represent our industry in as true and professional of a light as possible, for both their fellow professionals, and the consumers who access this platform."
Other unacceptable behavior could subject people to exclusion:
"Please take these rules seriously. Don't try to look for loopholes; instead, take them to heart and respect the spirit in which they were created. We administrate this community using logic and common sense, and we will give greatest regard to the intention of the rule. If we decide to terminate your account as a result of a violation of these Community Guidelines, you will be prohibited from ever signing up for another account!"
The Founders stated their Guiding Principles and the philosophy of the organization, that is the World View or WELTANSCHAAUNG.
"ActiveRain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another. ActiveRain believes its future depends on members of all experience levels openly sharing their experiences and best practices with others in the field. This communal dialogue offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and is the way to share in the dynamism and excitement that constitutes the modern real estate business."
Building any structure requires a strong foundation. ActiveRain Founders provided that for us.
Success
Learning more and more about real estate on ActiveRain led to my enjoyment and enjoying my work led on to success. Meeting Clients and Support Professionals over the years made everything that much better.
FRIENDSHIP
Getting to know others from all parts of the USA and Canada broadened my horizons and increased my knowledge. I am proud to call many ActiveRain Bloggers actual friends.
Over the years, as I traveled, I would contact people in those cities to see if we could get together when I was in their area. In fact, I started an AR Group called AR-Ups so others could share their travels!
Met people when in Boston, California, North Carolina, and even Hawai'i! Also at our wonderful Atlanta Airport as AR members had connecting flights. Lately, I have met other members who even stayed at my home!
Every photo in my collage is the holder of many stories. In fact, I could have done an additional 50 collages and still had people and their stories left over!
THANKS ActiveRain!
