Exploring Locust Valley NY - Stuey's Smokehouse BBQ

If you are not a meat eater (look away), and if you are, please enjoy! I've had various BBQs in my days, including in Texas. However! I have to say, by far Stuey's Smokehouse BBQ has won my taste buds!

This was/is a gem of a fine by the way. Once again, after wrapping up a Feng Shui Space Clearing and Blessing, I stopped in town to grab a quick bite to eat, not knowing what I'd find and to my surprise, Stuey's Smokehouse BBQ caught my attention. As soon as I walked in, the aromas of the brisket smelled amazing! Paired with that, you could see how moist the meat was and the freshness. My expectations were high and after taking the first bit of my brisket sandwich, my expectation was exceeded!

This is a small mom-and-pop eatery, so if you are intending to eat inside rethink that. However,  they do have patio seating in the back or you could just take your BBQ to go. Stuey's Smokehouse opened in 2016 and has been going strong ever since!

You can find Stuey's Smokehouse BBQ at 50 Birch Hill Road, Locust Valley, NY 11560.

I would travel to NY just for that brisket!  Mary Margaret and I love BBQ!

We visited a BBQ restaurant just outside of Austin called Black"s a few years ago (Franklin's was way too busy).  My wife ordered the beef ribs.  The gentleman serving us asked how many.  My wife was hungry to she said 3!  The gentleman smiled and served her 3 of the biggest ribs we had ever seen.  We all laughed and MM changed her order to 1. It was delicious.  I had the brisket!

We tried to visit Franklin's but the cost was way off the charts for only two people. The way to charge for BBQ is not individual plates, at least when we were there this past October in 2021. Stuey's is pretty darn amazing! so much so, I'll be picking up a couple of pounds for my brother and I's birthday's :)

When I heard the wait times for Franklin's, I did not even look at the prices.  Black's was not particularly cheap, but the food was really good and there was no wait at all.  I would love to try Stuey's.  It is tough to be great BBQ.
