It's finally happening thanks to Carol Williams & Kathy Streib... I'm participating in a monthly challenge which offers you all the opportunity to get to know me a bit better. Ready? I promise it won't be really exciting but hopefully, it might be a bit entertaining... Here goes:
1. What was your first job & what did you learn from it? My first job was on the crew of a brand new Dunkin Donuts. I learned that soup (yup! DD used to offer soup) tastes good at any time of day AND I'm not a big fan of shift work.
2. How long have you been in the real estate industry? I earned my license in 2009 after being laid off in Oct 2007 & March 2009 from my positions within the healthcare industry. I hadn't planned to stay this long but am still happy to be here!
3. What is your biggest fear & what have you done to try to conquer it? Great question! I thought of snakes and only scream louder to conquer it but my daughter came up with the REAL answer: I have a fear of being average in my professional realm and am dedicated to daily planning, goal setting & action plans to help avoid such.
4. What would you do if you knew you would not fail? Another great question & I'm really not sure... The only thing that comes to mind is to start a podcast.
5. What is a habit you would love to eliminate or change? Yikes. Vulnerability setting in here... I'll admit I have a rotten habit (disorder!!) of picking my nails & would love to change that.
6. What is my favorite meal? I love a classic boiled lobster, I'm a sucker for a good mac-n-cheese, & I must admit that I enjoy hot dogs with meat sauce. And here's where I'll add that my degree is in Nutrition. LOL!
7. What is something you wish you'd done? The only thing I can think of that I wish I pushed my comfort zone a bit and went to a bigger college.
8. Who has been most influential in your life? My parents
9. What are your favorite business-related books? Hug Your Customer, Raving Fans, 5 Second Rule
10. Other than business books what are your favorite things to read? Anything by Elin Hilderbrand
11. What are your Top 5 Favorite movies? Top Gun, Breakfast Club, Bridesmaids, Happy Gilmore, The Heat, The Proposal (oops! that's more than 5. Just make me laugh & have an attractive cast and you'll be on my list!).
12. If I came to your city for one day, what is one thing I must do or see? The waterski show at Jumpin Jacks (better come in the summer)
13. If I came to your city to visit for one day, what is the one restaurant you'd recommend? Let's make this easy and grab a burger at Jumpin Jacks before the ski show.
14. If I was going to relocate to your area what advice would you give me that is unique to the area? Oh we'd talk a lot about the differences in the counties and the subareas within each to best identify one that will work for you.
15. Do you have any special talents? I think that's a hard no.
16. Do you have any quirks? YES!! A LOT!!! My maiden name is Quirk. LOL!
17. What is your best character trait? I'm told it's my drive and wit.
18. Have you ever done anything you would never do again because it was too hard or too dangerous? Well... in college I got into a car w/ people we had just met and crossed state lines... I'm lucky nothing awful happened!
19. What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? What spare time? LOL! Seriously though, hanging out with my daughters... And that usually includes softball.
20. If you could live anywhere in the world where would you want to live? I really don't know and think my answer centers more around "who" than "where".
21. What is something that we don't know about you that would surprise us? I don't think there's anything truly surprising that I can tell you but here are a couple of fun facts: I grew up in Maine. That ski team that I mentioned before is where I met my husband and yes, I was one of the skiers.
That's all! If you really want to get to know me better, I welcome a connection on Facebook and/or Instagram.... You can find me at @#agentbrenda Thanks for the read!!
