WHAT MOMS IN EACH STATE REALLY WANT FOR MOTHER'S DAY
Tomorrow is Mother's Day... are you still wondering what to gift your mom? Wonder no longer! A recent survey of over 1,000 mothers with children at home provides some excellent clues as to what moms in each state really want (and need) for Mother's Day. The average age of respondents was 36.4 years; 65.7% were employed full-time; 26.9% were stay-at-home moms. Looking at this list, I can say that even moms with no children in the home wouldn't mind receiving one of these gifts.
The thee top gifts that moms want are: (1) a nap; (2) a meal they don't need to cook; and (3) help with cleaning. But it's worth pointing out that many moms are quite happy with a gift of a card or flowers. (I know I am... my beautiful Mother's Day tulips arrived on Thursday and I'll be enjoying them for days to come.) And if you're here in the Carolinas, as I am, you'll see that moms in North and South Carolina would like nothing more than a meal they don't prepare... whether it's breakfast in bed or a meal out for brunch or dinner.
"Happiness is seeing your mother smile."
