Spring, a time to Share

At least once a year, and more often twice a year, I tell you about KHRT Radio's Sharathon. It happens every fall and every Spring.

This years Spring Sharathon starts on Wednesday the 11th and ends on Tuesday the 17th. Join us for good music, cool stories, and great testimonies on 106.9KHRT and Solid Gospel 1320KHRT.

As usual I will be answering the phone several mornings when callers call in to pledge support for our local Christian radio station.

The two Sharathons are held as a way to make up for the money we refuse from establishment who would advertise from us if we were not a family friendly venue.

I love volunteering my time because of what Christian radio means to me. I donate money as well because I firmly believe in the message and I buy advertising on KHRT because I love the loyal customers I gain from Christian radio listeners.

Bob I love how you volunteer on the beliefs that you support, Diane volunteers for Animal Rescue Organizations.... sadly we were shut down in the past two years and many Rescue Organizations cut back on volunteers...Endre

Endre Barath, Jr. it is really sad how so many things were effected by what I believe to be horrible decisions in regards to covid measures. I'd love to get on my soap box but I love those even who disagree with me.

I really look forward to it Kat Palmiotti . Although most of the meeting people is over the telephone it's still a reunion with folks I have not heard from in months and then there are the times I am actually on the air and I really love that.

I listen to K-Love and they are always having pledge drives.  This seems similar and I hope that ample money will be raised.  No advertising is always a good thing in my book.

I have heard K-Love's drives and they are very similar Brian England . We still have advertising but we turn away anything to do with gambling, alcohol, or anything obviously NOT family friendly.

Will Hamm it's funny how we have a set goal and we always seem to make it in the last few minutes of the Sharathon. It's never a nice smooth trip from point A to point B. It seems like we raise about 75% of the funds on that last day.

We did good Mike Frazier but fell just short of the goal. Contributions usually keep trickeling in go a while so we still may hit or surpass the goal. I love supporting our LOCAL Christian radio station.
