1 pound beef
1/2 cup short thin green bell pepper strip
1/2 cup short red or yellow pepper strips
1 small garlic clove, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 onion rolls, split and toasted
4 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
Heat in pan in medium high heat. Add bell peppers, garlic and oregano; cook 3 mins. stirring frequently. Remove from heat and add salt
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions. Shape into 4 1/2 inch thick patties 4 inches in diameter. Place patties on grill, turning once. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place burgers on roll bottoms; top with slice of cheese and equal amount of bell pepper mixture. Cover with roll top.
