There's No Robbing a Momma Robin!
Along with the arrival of Spring, birds steadfastly prepare and then protect their egg ladened nests. Robins are extremely territorial, taking an aggressive stance to warn animals or people that come too close.
I have personally observed them in action while on the golf course, flitting in and out of bushes and trees or diving straight toward an animal, especially when trespassing into the restricted, Keep Out area.
McKenzie the Cat was strolling across our yard one day, when a Robin cut a direct path in the sky toward her with blazing speed! Surprised and shocked, she saw her, then jumped up, turning a complete flip in the air.
McKenzie seemed dazed, quickly leaving the aerial bombing range! It was amazing to witness and proof that there's no robbing a Momma Robin.
She'll learn ya, durn ya!
