Moose Pond, Pleasant Mountain in the backdrop, the boat docks and canoes are one of my fondest memories in this favorite photograph of mine where I lived and worked in Denmark, Maine at Wyonegonic Camps. As a Staff member, my children adapted to camp life and were supervised by Counselors both International and Domestic. From Staff, camper to Counselor in Training to Camp Counselors, year-after-year we learned community living at Wyonegonic Camps for Girls and Winona Camps for Boys.
Wyonegonic Camps is Hiring for summer 2022! Below is their invitation for you to spend your summer on Moose Pond in Maine! Please contact them directly at wyonegonic.com/staff. Let them know a former Staff Member from 1987 through 1992 referred them to you. I swear, for me and my children, it was the best years of our life. My son spent ten years and my daughter eight years. They learned leadership skills, water safety, and achieved many certifications.
From the smell of the Ocean when kids and Staff go on field trips, to the taste of fresh lobster, or the feelings of exhilaration after riding horses, sailing regattas, climbing mountains, practicing archery, riflery, canoeing, participating in musicals, camping outdoors, learning to cook over an open fire, singing songs, swinging through the zip lines, water skiing and many other water activities, there is a lot to do and more to learn about sportsmanship, safety, and developing leadership and friendship to last a lifetime.
How do I know? I experienced it firsthand and so did my son and daughter. I close my eyes and can still smell Pine Trees, I can recall the sound of the loons, and I vividly remember the laughter. You can too!
The years pass quickly but Wyonegonic memories are forever
