Gaithersburg Book Festival – Now at Bohrer Park
Come read with us! The Gaithersburg Book Festival is in-person on Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its new, larger location at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm. Parking is free, and accessible shuttles are available from the Shady Grove Metro Station and Lakeforest Mall.

Best-Selling & Award Winning Authors
The Festival features more than 120 best-selling and award-winning authors, including Reyna Grande, Jamie Raskin, John Scalzi, Jocelyn Nicole Johnson, Peter H. Reynolds, Karen Joy Fowler, Adam Schiff, and John Feinstein. These authors and many more will be participating in presentations, panel discussions and book signings throughout the day. You can buy their books on-site at the Politics & Prose Book Store inside the Activity Center.

Workshops
Interested in writing your memoir? Need college essay help? Curious about the best way to write a picture book? Want to practice writing in Spanish? Hone your writing skills at free workshops led by area professionals and some of today’s top authors and illustrators. They take place hourly and are first come, first-served. Explore free sessions for both
teens & adults and
children.
Children’s Village
Literature comes to life for children of all ages through interactive activities,
workshops, story times, crafts, games and more in our
Children's Village. You'll find presentations by renowned children's and young adult authors, stage performances, multi-lingual storytelling, craft activities, word games, and much more.
