Friday Flags in Watertown CT

Sometimes life gets a priority and that was what I faced this past week.  I had this in draft, but more important issues have taken me away from AR for a few days.

While coming back from an appointment last week, I passed a store front with the flag out front. It was in the Oakville section of Watertown.

The flag was at half-mast as the state was observing a memorial for the 1,000,000 Americans that have died due to the pandemic.

Tony's seafood is a family run business and serves the freshest seafood in the area. But shop early as they can't always keep up wot the demand.

Ed, seeing our flag flying proudly always is nice, but at half-mast for the lives lost is still sad.

It is a grim reminder of what we have been through and great to see your local restaurant honor those that have passed.

I hope this week goes much easier for you.

Ed I love seafood, so I may have to checkout Tony & Sons Seafood.  And the fact they fly our flag proudly is an extra incentive to do that.

It's so hard to believe that we have reached the 1 million mark for pandemic deaths in this country.  I still remember hearing in the beginning days that 22 cases were reported near Seattle.  There's been many traumatic days since then.

Doug Dawes   It was a state request to lower the flag in Memoriam of the pandemic deaths.

Will Hamm   The key element was the store having the flag out front, which so few provide.

George Souto   It is a worthy ride for sure

Kathy Streib   It was his posts that got me to try and find similar in our area.

Myrl Jeffcoat   It is a big number and some people still do not see the need to protect themselves or their families.

Laura Cerrano   It is a nice feeling to see the flag flying
