This Week…Armed Forces Day
The month of May is an important one because this is when we honor those who have and are serving in the military. Besides Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Memorial Day, today, the third Saturday in May is Armed Forces Day.
On weekends, we often see these young military trainees at the Preserve where we walk. The walkers often stop to watch and admire the hard work they put into the drills.

Many members here have served and to them, I say “Thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made and for honoring us with your service.”
There are currently approximately 1.4 million men and women serving in our Armed Forces.
Please thank those you know and meet who have and are serving in our Armed Forces.
