Motivational Monday…Keep It Active
Getting older is not for the faint of heart. When we first met our friend, one of the first things he told us was that his memory is going. He takes medication for it. However lately, he forgot a few turns here and there and lost his credit card.
One of the things that Larry and I admire about him though is that he continues to want to learn.
It has been a task in recent weeks getting him set up on a laptop…a move away from his desktop. But we’re close to the finish line!
We may never remember all that we’ve learned or even use it. What’s important is that we continue to exercise our minds. Like the muscles in the rest of our body…
Use it or lose it!
This is one of the reasons why I continue to blog and attend the weekly Zoom meetings. I’ve learned about Accessory Dwelling Units and how to create podcasts from the meetings.
I cannot imagine a scenario where I will actively use that knowledge however I learned more than I knew about the topics. That’s a win in my book.
The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size. Albert Einstein
Keeping an active mind has been vital to my survival, as has been maintaining a sense of humor. Stephen Hawking
The energy or active exercise of the mind constitutes life. Aristotle
