Spring Again

It appears that this time it may really be spring.

Tina painting her playhouse, my grape vine coming back to life, and the trees starting to leaf. Not only that but Timmothy has mowed the lawn twice and the forecast shows no signs of freezing temperatures.

I love vintage electronics. The two pictures in this post were captured with a HP 210 PhotoSmart camera. It's a big clunky camera that uses a CompactFlash that is about four times the size of a standard SD card and also three to four times as thick. It's 1.3 mega pixels and an amazing 2X zoom. I saw it in the original box, looking like new for just $6.00 at the thrift store. Had to buy it.

That would certainly bring on a chill Raymond E. Camp ! As North Dakota seems to be greatly effected by global cooling please keep them right their in CA. 😉

The more winter the bigger the mess so you can imagine Sham Reddy CRS what it's like to emerge from 7 months of winter.

Nina Hollander, Broker in a world where bigger/more is better no matter how excessive this camera is a real dinosaur. I have found quality optics verses excessive technology wins when it comes to cameras. My favorite "antique" cameras are the old Sony Mavica cameras. Notice the picture below, this camera used a floppy disk to save the photographs and not a memory stick.

Thank you Wayne Martin . Tina is home and that picture was taken yesterday. I did do my best to teach the kids responsibility but I never really thought about how successful I was until you just mentioned it.

I have said before that the horrible flood that destroyed our home also had valuable lessons for the kids (Tina 11 at the time and Timmothy 9). Things, apposed to life, are not important but to take care of what you have and to always treasure each other.

I never really thought about how that lesson had been absorbed until how. Thanks you for bringing it to my attention  Wayne.

I am pleased with it Kat Palmiotti but it will most likely not be used beyond this, it is just part of my vintage collection. I am sure I am nearing or have surpassed 20 vintage cameras by now.

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying spring now.  We are moving right into hot summer for the next few days here in Elk Grove.

It looks like you did well with that new camera.  The pictures look great.

We didn't lose any this year (yet) Will Hamm but I lost a limb last year that was bigger than most peoples entire tree. I seem to lose enough every year that it pays to keep my chainsaw in working order.

Thanks Raymond Henson, eXp Realty . It is an interesting camera but it will be going on a shelf for display soon. When I take a picture it reminds me of some gadget in an old movie as it makes some sounds and a clunk before flashing. It's really weird 🤪.

It has been Spring in Sacramento for awhile now.  However, the last couple days, and for the foreseeable future, it feels more like summer.  Temp reached 95 today, with expectation of hitting 100 tomorrow.

I used to live for the few 100 degree days we have here Myrl Jeffcoat but not so much anymore. I think I've dropped down now to low 80's upper 70's for my comfort zone. Maybe I've become a North Dakotain after all these years.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS speaking of "powering up" that camera it is a power beast. In the time I have experimented with it I found the best power source is 4 alkaline batteries which last about a dozen photographs. 3000mha rechargeable batteries last about half as long.

Going quickly into summer. No water so no vegetable gardening. This is a quick spring for us here. ...  Enjoy.

It seems like we may be launching right into Summer here Sam Shueh even though the trees have not fully leaved yet. We have had years of sever drought but our lingering winter dumped a lot of snow when it should have been spring showers. It's been good for our lawns but the farmers would really like to get out and plant being we have a very short growing season.

Great post. Grew up in B&W TV I found it is harder to take B&W photos than colored ones. Lighting, angle matters.

Sam Shueh when I look at some of the old B&W movies I am in awe of the clarity. It had to be very difficult for the actors/actresses to work under the intense lighting they used back then.
