Catonsville, MD Market Report - 05/28/2022
The town of Catonsville has a lot to offer new and repeat homeowners. There are older homes, historic homes as well as new construction, townhomes, condos, and single-family homes, and prices range from around $200,000 up to over a million. Something for everyone! There is a 3 bedroom detached home for sale on my street, do you want to be my neighbor?
My family and I have called 
Catonsville home since 2016 and we just bought a home in October in the Paradise neighborhood and we love it!! The town of Catonsville has lots of bars and restaurants and shops, most major supermarket chains are represented as well. Catonsville is also known as music city with music shops and no shortage of live performances in local establishments. In addition, we are close to St Agnes hospital and have excellent representation for medical care with many doctors, dentists, and optometry services.
The spring market jumped into action in Catonsville with fewer new listings coming soon and active over the last month. Interest rates have risen but buying a home is still a better option than renting. Rents have also increased, so the question arises, are you buying a home for yourself or for your landlord? And, homes are still selling for on average 6-8% over the listing price in Catonsville.
