Good morning, Debra... I've seen that picture of the eagle at some point before and it really touched me. Poppies remind me of Memorial Day of my childhood in the 1950's, which was called Decoration Day back then... on Decoration Day everyone wore a poppy that our Veterans sold.

Debra Leisek - I was thinking of you and hoped you have written. You and that photograph is terrific! Have you heard that Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint-Idaho  and Endre Barath, Jr. have a June AR 'Ole Glory' challenge this month? You should read all about it and drop in a few entries! With all those eagles and I would imagine 'Ole Glories' on the Alaskan Coast, I'll bet you could find something great to write about with photos too!
