The Covid-19 Pandemic has reprioritized certain home features.
Years ago, a home was "where you hung your hat," enjoyed solitude or time with your family or time out of the public eye.
Times have changed...
Technology has enabled many of us to roll out of bed, quickly throw on some clothes and run into the dedicated virtual office in our home to start our workday online. For kids, a virtual education can be similar however some parents integrate their child's workspace inside of their bedroom.
In lieu of going out to watch a movie at a local cinema, many choose to view in the comfort of their home theater. You have your own furniture, unlimited snack options, don't have to worry about being interrupted by the stranger sitting next to you... and I can't forget to mention that you can also pause the movie if you need to use the john!
So what has happened?
The expectation of a home seems to have shifted toward a multi-faceted space that could host the majority of one's activities without ever leaving!
Sounds good?! I'll let you make that decision. In the meantime, checkout this fidelity.com article called, "The Future of Housing," that highlights this shift.
